Corona Virus Symptoms and precautions

Coronavirus has emerged as a global pandemic. It is spreading rapidly around the world and the number of people dying from the virus is also increasing continuously. It has been started from China's seafood market and has so far reached more than 195 countries and it has killed more than 20,000 people and more than 3,75,400 people are infected from the virus all over the world. 

What is Coronavirus?

Coronavirus (COVID-19) belongs to a family of viruses, whose infections range from cold to serious diseases such as MERS and SARS. The virus has never been seen before. It is an RNA virus that breaks down into cells inside the body and uses them to generate itself. There is no medicine yet to stop this virus. 

Symptoms of Covid-19 :

When it reaches to a persons body, the virus infects his lungs. In this, the person has dry cough after fever and difficulty in breathing afterwards. 

Problems like runny nose and sore throat also arise.

The virus spreads very quickly from one person to another. It is very fatal for people of older age and diabetic and heart patients. 

Safety measures

Government around the world are focusing on making people aware of the corona virus and only by identifying the symptoms of coronavirus can the infection be prevented from spreading.

What to do?

  1. Pay attention to your personal hygiene 
  2. Wash hand several times with hand wash for 20 seconds
  3. Rub your hands thoroughly time to time with an alcohol based hand sanitizer.
  4. Cover your mouth with handkerchief or tissue while sneezing or coughing.
  5. Throw the tissue in a closed container after use
  6. This virus spreads from one person to another person through air, so, if you are going out of the house then cover your face with a mask.
  7. Avoid going to a person infected with cold, flu and if you go, cover your eyes nose and mouth.

What not to do?

  1. Avoid eating any kind of meat.
  2. Try to keep certain distance with animals specially if you have small kids at home.
  3. Avoid unnecessary travel if possible
  4. Do not go to live animal market or places where animals are slaughtered.
  5. If you have fever, cough and cold, then don’t come in contact with people and do not travel
  6. Do not touch your eyes mouth and nose again and again.

Coronavirus symptoms are similar to common flu and cold, so it is very important to understand the difference in this.

When to check-

If you do not have symptoms such as cough, fever or difficulty  in breathing, then you do not need to get COVID-19 checked.
Weakness with severe pain in the body, trouble in liver and kidney, problem in breathing, signs of pneumonia, high fever, colds - If you have a severe cold, you should contact the doctor soon. In such a situation, do not take any kind of negligence and use the helpline number given by the government and seek help.

Why Social Distancing is Important ?

The corona virus infection spread from one person to another by approaching and touching. In such a situation, social distancing is very necessary to prevent and reduce the spread of coronavirus. Signs of infection are detected within the first two weeks. If a person has an infection, it will come out in these days. In the meantime, social distance is maintained properly, it will reduce the risk of infection to others. 

Social distance is necessary for everyone, whether they have any kind of symptoms or not. For its positive result we all have to strictly follow it. 

 How to Strengthen  your immunity ?

Along with taking precautions to avoid serious illness like coronavirus, we also need to keep our immunity strong.
When our disease resistance system is weak then we easily fall prey to diseases. The immune system produces T-cells when a virus is infected and produces antibodies. But individuals whose immune system is weak, their body is unable to fight against these viruses and fall ill easily. 

  • Eat nutritious food 

To strengthen your immunity eat nutritious things rich in vitamins, enzymes and minerals. Cook the food well and eat it. Wash raw vegetables thoroughly and eat them. Eat citrus fruits like lemon, mussels, oranges and alma which are rich in   vitamin C.

  • Drink plenty of water 

Drink more and more water to ensure that there is no lack of water in the body. It is good to drink a glass of lukewarm water in the morning.

  • Keep cleanliness around you 

The  surrounding dirt also increase the risk of infection in those with weak immunity so keep cleanliness around you.

  • Complete sleep 

Sleep gives the immune system full time to rebuild and weaken. In this case, you must have at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep.

  • Be physically active 

Taking more rest also weakens the immune system, so it is important to remain active. For that, walk and do exercise and yoga. 

  • Do not stress 

Stress affects the immune system. Meditate regularly for 10 to 20 minutes daily, this will also calm your brain and you will not be stressed

Talk to children on this -

All schools have been closed at the order of the government to prevent coronavirus infection. In such a situation, children are spending their time at home. You need to pay attention to these things -

  1. You should tell the children about the information and danger related to this infection and answer their questions calmly.
  2. Keep in mind that children should be told according to their age.
  3. Set a limit for viewing virus related news on TV or Internet. Over-reading on a topic can increase anxiety.
  4. Keep yourself calm and positive while talking to an adult or child on this disease at home or on the phone.
  5. Ask the children to play at home. Do not let them go out.
  6. Please tell the children that they are very less at risk from this coronavirus.
